How does the backlink inventory scan work?

01It starts on its own
RanklyBee starts a backlink inventory scan when you set up a Project, and again before a backlink submission when no completed scan exists. The scan runs as a background job, so its status moves through pending and running before results are available. There is no button to start it by hand.
02Read the result in Backlink Overview
When the scan completes, Backlink Overview refreshes its health cards, metrics, and backlink table. Links found before you started are counted as found before RanklyBee. If the scan found nothing, the page offers Track backlink so you can record a placement yourself.
03Treat imported data as a starting point
A provider inventory helps establish the tracked set, but it does not replace checking the public source page. Review the imported placement and run a health check when you need current link evidence.
